Imperfections’ vocalist and songwriter Donato Faoro grew up in the Pacific Northwest in the 90s (pre-cell phone era) with plenty of time to stay inside and learn how to play music. Luckily, out of necessity/boredom, he started banging on pots and pans and after years of begging finally got his first “real” drum set for his 10th birthday. In high school, Donato acquired his first TASCAM 4-track recorder. After moving to Las Vegas he began writing songs and recording in a more "serious" manner. Donato was selected by CMJ Magazine and Coca-Cola as one of the Top 50 Unsigned Songwriters in America, along with his group The UTMoST getting nominated for an SCMA (Southern California Music Award) and being selected as locals’ 2nd favorite band behind The Killers by Las Vegas CityLife. Donato has written music for major movies and TV shows and recently recorded a handful of songs with Savage Garden founder Daniel Jones. Blessed with an ear for melody and an appreciation of classic rock and roll artists along with the newest sounds, Donato continues to write prolifically and create an extensive resume of material.
